IPL Versus True Laser Hair Removal

Compare Our True Lasers with IPL!

Many people think all laser hair removal is the same, this could't be further than the truth. Many laser hair removal clinics in London offer IPL which is a much inferior and less effective hair removal technique and the results often don't last very long.
At the Byrons  Laser Clinic we only offer true laser hair removal technology from the world's leading laser manufacturers such as Candela and Cynosure which creates permanently reduced results.
We recognise that there is a wide choice of suppliers, and feel that you should have the information you need to make the decision about which laser clinic to use. Of course, we hope you will decide to use us at Byron  Laser Clinic!

There are two types of "laser" treatment on the market: Intense Pulsed Light (IPL Laser Hair Removal) and true lasers. Both have been used for many years but there are important differences between them.

IPL Laser Hair Removal uses full spectrum light (such as you can get from a lightbulb), whereas Lasers use just one wavelength of coherent light (such as you would get from a single beam laser at a light show). Only certain wavelengths of light will be effective in removing your hair and, while the light from IPL will include these wavelengths, light from a Laser is specifically designed to target hair removal, without exposing you to any unnecessary light radiation.

Single wavelength lasers are more effective at hair removal, and although this treatment may cost a little more than the inferior IPL treatments available, we believe that you get what you pay for!

The laser that we use is the Candela GentleLASE which has a 755 nanometre beam of light, and is marketed specifically for hair removal. It is superior to any IPL Laser Hair Removal technology that we known of, for permanent and effective results.

We would strongly advise you to consider the options before deciding which hair removal clinic to use.
